It’s normal to feel anxious from time to time, especially if your life is stressful. However, excessive, ongoing anxiety and worry that are difficult to control and interfere with day-to-day activities. Generalised anxiety disorder has symptoms that are similar to Panic Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and other types of anxiety, but they’re all different conditions.
Anxiety, on the other hand, is defined by persistent, excessive worries that don’t go away even in the absence of a stressor. Anxiety leads to a nearly identical set of symptoms as stress: insomnia, difficulty concentrating, fatigue, muscle tension, and irritability.

What are the signs of stress and anxiety?
- Irritable, angry, impatient, or wound up.
- Over-burdened or overwhelmed.
